AWT Cechofracht a. s. is one of the biggest providers of the freight forwarding and logistic services in the Czech Republic. In 2010 it becomes the part of Advanced World Transport Group. The long-term experience and professionalism of our employees have helped us to build a strong position on this market. The quality of services is certified by ISO 9001:2000.
The joint stock company Cechofracht was founded on January 1, 1952. In 1953 the legal form of the company was changed into the Cechofracht shipping company. Cechofracht´s position strengthened significantly in 1958 when the scope of its business activities was extended to include international forwarding. A year later a company named "Ceskoslovenská námořní plavba" (Czechoslovak Ocean Shipping) began operating shipping business and both companies agreed that Cechofracht would not engage in this business activity. This decision marked the end of the shipping chapter in Cechofracht´s history.
In 1963 Cechofracht became the first organization of the former socialist countries to be accepted as a member of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) which was a highly significant appraisal of the company's international activities. Although Cechofracht formed the only link connecting Czechoslovak exporters and importers with foreign partners, it had to familiarize itself with the market environment abroad at the time and it succeeded in arranging numerous advantageous business terms and conditions for its clients.
The professional level of the employees and the long-term experience played a principal role in making Cechofracht a pioneer and leading company in launching modern methods of transportation. In 1991 the company was transformed into a joint stock company. The scope of Cechofracht´s business activities was extended to include trading activities and customs clearance. Four years later Cechofracht acquired the administration building and logistic terminal in Prague - Hostivař. As the first company of its kind Cechofracht established a functional quality control system and in April 1997 obtained an ISO 9000 certificate.
